1. Responsible party
Podjetje BSH Hišni aparati d.o.o. Nazarje, Savinjska cesta 30, 3331 Nazarje, as operator of this website, is the responsible party in relation to household tests (website) for handling the personal data of users of this website (users).
BSH has taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that the regulations relating to data privacy are complied with both by BSH and by its service providers.
BSH provides information below on the nature, scope and purposes of collecting, processing and using data resulting from use of this website in compliance with applicable data privacy provisions. The information below does not cover the handling of personal data from participants in tests which were not collected via this website e.g. in surveys conducted by paper questionnaires or during personal interviews.
2. Protocol data
When users access the website, the internet browser used by the user automatically transmits the following data (hereinafter referred to as “protocol data”) for technical reasons to the web server used by BSH which are documented in a protocol:
- date of access
- time of access
- URL of the referring website
- retrieved file
- volume of data transmitted
- browser type and version
- operating system
- IP address (truncated to the last octet)
- Domain name of your internet access provider
This is exclusively information that cannot reveal the identity of the user. This information is technically indispensable to provide the website content requested by the user correctly and necessarily arises when using the internet. The protocol data are evaluated for purely statistical purposes to optimise the website, and the technology on which it is based, and are subsequently deleted.
The protocol data are stored separately from other data which are collected during use of this website (see 3.-5. and Sections B and C below).
3. Data of minors
Persons who are not of legal age should not transmit any personal data to BSH without the consent of their parents or legal guardians.
4. Links to other websites
This website may contain links to other websites. BSH has no control over whether their providers comply with data privacy rules.
5. Right of access and rectification, deletion and blocking of data
Requests for access and rectification, blocking or deletion of personal data can be made via the contact details provided in the legal notice.
6. Change of Privacy Statement
The Privacy Statement shall be adapted if required to reflect changes relevant to the data privacy of our services in the Privacy Statement e.g. when introducing new services or in order to comply with current legal requirements.

BSH responds to questions of data privacy via the contact details provided in the legal notice.
8. Adobe Analytics (Omniture)
This website uses Adobe Analytics (Omniture), a web analysis service from Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd. ("Adobe"). Using Adobe Analytics, anonymous data is collected that helps us to understand and analyse the user behaviour of our visitors. Adobe Analytics uses so-called cookies and web beacons which are retrieved by your computer or saved there. The information gained in this way about your use of this website is transferred to Adobe servers and saved there. This information is forwarded to us exclusively in the form of cumulative data that express trends in the general use of the website, and are, therefore, not person-specific. As Adobe Analytics does not record any person-specific information, it is not possible to assign, collate or connect anonymous information with your personal data.

9. Cookies
This website uses so called session cookies to realize the function “Field test login”. Session-cookies are small pieces of information that are stored on your computer for the duration of your visit on our website. A session-cookie stores a randomly generated unique identification number, a so called session ID. In addition, a session cookie contains the details of its origin, and a retention time. This cookie stores no personal data. The session ID is used to detect, if you logged in on our website or not.
To be able to log in to our website, it is necessary that your browser accepts session-cookies from our website.
Session-cookies will only be stored on your computer for the duration of your visit to our website. This means that session-cookies have a very limited lifespan. At each new visit to the website a new cookie with a new session ID is generated. Session cookies are therefore already technically not capable of being used for creating user profiles.
10. Google reCAPTCHA
Our service provider Rogator AG, Emmericher Straße 17, 90411 Nürnberg, Germany ("Rogator"), provides the application “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter referred to as “reCAPTCHA”) on this website. The provider of reCAPTCHA is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We have concluded a data protection contract (data processing agreement) with Rogator and Rogator in turn with Google.
The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to determine whether data entered on this website (e.g., information entered into a contact form) is being provided by a human user or by an automated program. To determine this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitors based on a variety of parameters. This analysis is triggered automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the site. For this analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates a variety of data (e.g., IP address, time the website visitor spent on the site or cursor movements initiated by the user). The data tracked during such analyses are forwarded to Google.
reCAPTCHA analyses run entirely in the background. Website visitors are not alerted that an analysis is underway.
Data are stored and analyzed on the basis of Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the protection of our websites against abusive automated spying and against SPAM. If a respective declaration of consent has been obtained, the data will be processed exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. a DGDPR. Any such consent may be revoked at any time.

Section B: Collection and use of data in connection with the selection procedure
The selection procedure includes the initial enquiry to the user. The purpose of the initial enquiry is to determine the user’s suitability to participate in a household test. The user is asked to provide details of his/her personal circumstances (master data). The information requested comprises the following data categories:
- information on the candidate (first name, surname)
- address and contact details
- information on the household, inter alia persons and existing household appliances
- information on the social environment
- information on the technical equipment in the household
Information from users who were not selected to participate in the household test is deleted.
Information from users who were selected to participate in the household test after passing the selection procedure is stored by BSH and used for the following purposes:
- linking the master data with the information provided in online surveys (see Section C);
- contacting users with a view to inviting them to participate in online surveys, clarifying questions arising in connection with the household test, repairs, “appliance updates” (e.g. new appliance parts).
Section C: Collection and use of data from online surveys during the test period
To test the suitability of household appliances for use and for the customer, BSH collects data in online surveys on household tests concerning the use of test appliances. BSH uses such data for market research purposes and to improve the products and their suitability for use.
Data entered in online surveys are transferred for technical reasons to the server after each entry page. Entries can be corrected as a rule at any time using the next and back buttons.
